Happy Wednesday! It’s time to “pin away” some beautiful bathroom images from my Beautiful Bathrooms “Le Bain” Pinterest board. I love so many different kinds of bathrooms, from dreamy and ornate French bathrooms to small, vintage cottage bathrooms, shabby chic and romantic bathrooms, historic bathrooms and modern farmhouse bathrooms. It really depends on the style of the house as to which is my favorite. I just pin any photos that I find pretty or that I want to refer back to for inspiration for our future guest bathroom addition, or for our much-needed main bath update. Here are some of my favorite pins from the board. Pin away! *This post contains affiliate links.
Pinworthy Bathrooms
Who wouldn’t enjoy relaxing in this dreamy bathroom complete with a fireplace, sunken tub and gorgeous tile?
The woodwork in this bath is just one of it’s many pinworthy elements!
This bathroom is a little more rustic but still has all the dreamy vibes. We don’t have a claw foot tub in our home but I have had them in my previous homes and I absolutely loved them.
Cottage style bathrooms are my absolute favorites, complete with vintage hex tile, bead board, and original or period reproduction fixtures.
This bathroom has a nice mix of modern and vintage cottage-farmhouse styling.
J’adore lovely French design elements in le bain!
I am almost always drawn to white, light and bright cottage bathrooms.
I love when vintage dressers or cabinets are given new life in a bathroom. I shared a post full of beautiful vintage furniture repurposed as bathroom vanities here.
I also shared lots of pinworthy vintage bathroom ideas in this post.
Modern farmhouse bathrooms actually incorporate vintage bathroom design elements especially when it comes to patterned tile which is currently all the rage.
You can purchase patterned tile, tile decals or even paint to stencil right over old floor tile.
.
I love tile in a bathroom, but mold can be a problematic issue, especially in the shower. Still this shouldn’t be a deterrent as long as there is good ventilation, no leaks, and you clean regularly with non-toxic bathroom cleaners.
If you don’t want the look of patterned tile but your floors need a refresh, you can always paint the grout lines. For damaged grout you may want to consult a professional company such as Groutsmith.
1920’s-30’s black and white hexagon tile is one of my favorite bathroom floor choices and would be perfect for “updating” our 1921 bathroom. Hex tile has regained popularity in farmhouse homes but it definitely has a classic, historic cottage look.
We did discover original hex tile similar to the picture above in our tiny downstairs half-bathroom, but it had been covered by linoleum and glue over the years. The tile that is there now looks fine but someday I would like to try to take it up and restore the original hex tile.
While modern decor is not my personal design style or fitting for our 98 year-old home, I do love the clean and sleek look of modern glam bathrooms. I have also pinned a few clean and sleek modern bathrooms to this board.
Serena and Lily
While I love old homes and the charm of original bathrooms, modern bathrooms definitely have their advantages. You might have to fix a loose toilet seat or tend to minor repairs from time to time, but usually there are not as many problems such as with outdated plumbing in older bathrooms or mold. Of course mold can grow anywhere and it is dangerous, so always keep a watch for any signs of dampness or mildew no matter how new your bathroom may be.
Many of today’s bathrooms have an eclectic mix of styles which I really like too.
I hope you have enjoyed these highlights from my Beautiful Bathrooms “Le Bain” Pinterest board and that you have found some images to pin away! If you love all kinds of pretty bathrooms, head on over to my Pinterest to follow along, as I add new pins to this board often. Which different styles of bathrooms do you love most? I love hearing from you, dear readers!
Thanks for visiting today!

Absolutely gorgeous.. I love the vintage details in so many of the rooms. When we redid our powder room, it was so small it was hard to add such fabulous details, but we are infitely happy with our outcome as well as it doubled in size.. Which was a dream for sure!!!
