Late Summer Garden Beauty at Thursday Favorite Things

Happy AUGUST and welcome to TFT! This is now my sixth year co-hosting this fabulous weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers with Katherine of Katherine’s Corner and a fantastic group of bloggers!
NOTE: The party time has changed to 9:00 a.m. MDT (11:00 EST).

If you are looking for inspiration, want to share new ideas or make new friends, you’ve come to the right place!

Here’s what I’ve Been Up To!

This past weekend we drove over 27 1/2 hours within 3 days to pick up our son from his successful summer chef internship in Newport, RI, then move his belongings into storage in Hyde Park, NY until his culinary class resume in three weeks. He is home with us until Sept. 9th, and even though it’s a bummer that my husband and I started back to school the day after we came home, it is so nice to at least spend time with him in the evenings and weekends during his visit.

Our visit in Newport was quick, but we had time to walk along the beautiful beach, eat some delicious food and check out some of the amazing antiques shops while we were there.

No new post this week as I have been exhausted from the trip and started back to work. Also, I just want to be present with our some during these precious weeks together.

Now here are some beautiful features from last week’s party!

An arrangement of pink, white and purple dahlias .
