Easy DIY Farmhouse Christmas Pots Using Chalk Paints and Faux Christmas Plants

These Easy Diy Farmhouse Christmas Pots can be made in no time using simple craft supplies.

The holidays are upon us so it’s time to get busy with some Christmas crafting! Today I am sharing some easy DIY Farmhouse Christmas pots that you can make it less than 20 minutes.

Last year I made some cute Christmas pots by dressing up inexpensive clay pots and peat pots from Dollar Tree with chalk paint and some floral supplies. I also made this adorable rustic pot using a buck stamp that I found at a yard sale.

I started with a couple of  small terra cotta pots. I believe I purchased two for a dollar at Dollar Tree. I also white washed some peat pots.

I used my DecoArt white chalk paint and a sponge brush to lightly white wash the pots. When they were almost dry, I simply rubbed off some of the paint around the rim and in a few other areas to “distress” the pot and give it an aged look.

After the pots dried I filled them with green reindeer moss and some faux holly, poinsettia, and winterberry picks from Joann. You could use any kind of Christmas greenery or even bottle brush trees to fill the pots. Here I “potted” a single poinsettia in a simple whitewashed pot. Love the simplicity.

I love anything with deer on it so this buck pot is one of my favorite little DIY’s. I like that I can use it in vignettes from fall through winter too. I found the stamp at a yard sale, I am not sure where it came from originally. Here is a similar stamp on Amazon:

I think they look super cute styled in my Merry Farmhouse Christmas Wooden Crate Vignette.

These pots were so fun and quick! I am looking forward to making a few more Christmas pots this year with a bit more vintage-shabby charm to give as gifts.

How is your Christmas crafting and holiday decorating coming along? I love hearing from you, dear readers! Thanks for visiting today!
