Happy May and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! I am thrilled to be joining Katherine at Katherine’s Corner and wonderful group of bloggers for my third year as a co-hostess for this fantastic weekly link party for bloggers and blog readers too!
If you are looking to grow your blog, make new friends, and or simply to be inspired each week, this is the place to be! *Bloggers: If you would like a chance to be featured, please leave a comment with the number of your link up. We can’t wait to see what you have to share this week! (If you missed the last party you can find it here.) To get the party started, let’s take a look at what I have been up to recently:
Easy Mod Podge Garden Stake Makeover
My “new” vintage cottage style garden is coming along in the backyard, and I am having fun adding vintage treasures and garden ornaments right in with all the flowers and plants. Recently I gave an old garden stake a new look with a decoupage. Take a look at my post to see how easy it is to use decoupage to give old an old item new life and for a couple of sneak peek photos of my new landscaping and potting bench.
Friday Finds: Back on the Junkin’ Trail
After two and a half months in quarantine, I happened to score some fabulous Friday finds on one of my first trips out to run errands! I hadn’t really planned on going junkin’ so it was a pleasant surprise to find some new treasures. Check out the post to read more about my finds.
Beinvenue Summer! French Cottage and Garden Style Summer Porch Tour
I was disappointed to miss a fun summer porch blog hop with friends recently, but it was just too early to decorate our porch for summer due to all of the pollen. It will be another week or so before we can clean up all the green powder from all over our porch and I can start adding some summer touches. Honestly, I will probably be decorating my porch very similarly to last year because I just loved it! If you missed last year’s porch tour, I hope you will get a chance to check it out. You will also find links to 20 other fabulous summer porches full of beautiful ideas.
Tomorrow I will be joining a few friends for a fun little blog hop with a Summer Night’s theme hosted by My Thrift Store Addiction. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see how I use candles, torches and lanterns to brighten up our summer nights around our home and garden. It has been super hot this week (too hot for a fire pit) but thankfully our AC is working. This time last year we had to call in an emergency air conditioning repair technician to put in a new unit! We should be nice and cool all summer at least!
Now it’s time for some lovely features from last week’s party!

Amber, thanks for hosting! I’ve only started adding flowers to planters and refreshing my herb garden due to the weather, and still closed garden centers. While mostly homebond, I’ve been armchair traveling by going through hundreds of photos from last year’s bucket list vacation to South America. Sharing our amazing cruise in the Galapagos with wildlife photography to remind us that nature perseveres and so will we. #60. Meanwhile, I’ve updated my kitchen with coastal tableware and decor #62, and deconstructed personalized photo graduation decorations as inspiration to celebrate this year’s grads #63.

June 4, 2020 at 9:56 pmGorgeous features, Amber – so much garden goodness blooming here. So happy to hear you got to go junkin. This may be the first summer that I’ll actually invest time into gardening since there is less to distract me. See a peek of it in my post at #157 with my new Frenchie bistro chairs. They are made so well, and I’m just thrilled with how bringing in the black contrast changes the look. Sending peace and prayers for good health and joy. xox
