Happy New Year and welcome to the All About Home Link Party #125! I hope you new year is off to a great start! Are you planning any decorating or renovation projects right away or are you taking it easy to rest up for the holidays? I haven’t started taking down my Christmas decorations just yet, but I hope to begin transitioning to winter later this week. I am excited to see what everyone else is up to and to check out all the fun links at this week’s party!
Debra and I love getting together each week to host this fun party, and we are looking forward to a new year of sharing inspiration with you! Before moving on to the features, here’s what we’ve been up to:
If you saw my instastories last week you will remember that my husband has been working hard to build us a master closet by dividing off a strange L-shaped portion of my teenage son’s previous bedroom and also switching and repainting both bedrooms over his Christmas “break.” He actually finished the bedrooms and they are looking great so far! We still have a lot of decorating to do in the new spaces, but both rooms are clean and funcitional. I will be sharing more about these projects over the next few weeks.
One of my house goals for the new year is to incorporate more traditional decor style elements. I have also decided to start a new blog series, “Exploring Traditional Decor” to help me achieve my design goals and to hopefully inspire you, too. The first post in the series focuses on Stylish Skirted Tables. I am hoping to find space to use a pretty skirted table in our “new bedroom.” Check out the post for plenty of ideas on how this traditional look can actually be worked into any style of decor.
Debra shared a wonderful tip for starting off the new year with a look back on Starting A Prayer Journal.
