What’s not to love about fall?Pumpkins, hayrides, hot apple cider, corn mazes, pumpkin spice lattes, and of course, beautiful, cozy fall décor are just a few of the fun and exciting things we enjoy during this season.I have a confession to make.I’ve been scanning some beautiful accounts on Instagram for some fall décor inspiration and I am amazed at what I’ve found! It is always so much fun to see other’s creativity, interpretation and perspective on fall décor.
I’ve observed traditional fall color palates, warm oranges, reds and yellows,to neutral tones, blues, greens and whites. Some have created an entirely new color scheme that is both rich and elegant using plum, greens and whites.Let’s take a little tour of some beautiful homes decorated for the season.
Welcome everyone to my “Harvest Home” early fall home tour! I am so thrilled you are visiting today! If you are coming over from A Delightsome Life and the previous tours on our Harvest Home Blog Hop, then I know you have already been inspired by a wonderful group of talented ladies and their beautiful homes. It has been such a pleasure to coordinate and host this blog hop! Now it’s time for me to finish up the tour by inviting you into my 1921 yellow brick home!
On this tour you will see how I decorate for early fall as I am still transitioning into the season, taking cues from nature. It has been 80 degrees lately and the leaves are only barely starting to change here in Eastern, KY, so it’s still a couple of weeks before I go all out on my fall colors and pumpkin extravaganza. I have decorated our front porch very simply to start off the season with a big basket of white mums sitting on a vintage chair by the front door. Last week I went a friend’s yard sale and she gifted me this big white pumpkin right out of her garden. I am really loving how the white mums and pumpkin look with the yellow bricks too!
Hello summer lovin’ friends! Can you we just celebrated Memorial Day? Since it’s time to start adding some red, white and blue around our homes I thought it would be a fun to revisit this post from last year in preparation for all the patriotic summer festivities ahead. Let’s get this summer party started!
Happy Fourth Of July! It’s been a busy week around the yellow brick home as we have been tackling some landscaping and exterior projects. I just had time TODAY to finish getting my patriotic porch all fixed up for the holiday. Even though it’s late I would love to share some of my fun holiday touches with you before the family heads out to watch some fireworks. Here’s a quick tour of my patriotic porch decor! Read more
Welcome to our neutral “cozy cottage” living room decorated for spring!
Come on in! The first thing you see when you walk through our front door is our staircase with painted stair runner and gallery wall.
I really love this little gallery wall. I used antique mirrors and vintage picture frames, two of my favorite things to collect! I am always on the lookout for more! When we removed the carpet the stairs were in really bad shape. There wasn’t time to redo the floors since we were moving in right before Christmas, so we decided to paint a grain stripe runner with colors inspired from some of my old vintage suitcases. Read more
